The first annual Wonder Run put on by Kathi Keyes and Jessica Haughton for Wonderland School was a big hit this past weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather was a superb 70+ degrees, which is perfect for a 5K run. The San Marcos Runners Club and all of our volunteers really helped make this day a successful event. Moe Johnson helped out by leading our runners down the course on his bike (after already helping out with the Race for Relief earlier that morning). The kids that competed in the Kids K and Tot Trot had a fabulous time and all received participant awards. We had medals for overall and age group male and female winners plus some great door prizes for everyone. Our male overall 5K winner was Andrew McHenry with a time of 20:11 and our female winner was Monet Moreau with a time of 25:01 (She is 12 years old!! Good Job!). All the proceeds from the race go towards improving Wonderland School , which is a private preK-6 th grade institution in Country Estates, San Marcos , TX . Thanks to all who made this day happen.
